Elbow is a commonly used pipe fittings for connection in plumbing installation, mainly used for the connection of pipe bends to change the direction of the pipe. Other names for elbows include 90° elbow, right angle bend, love and bend, stamped elbow, pressed elbow, mechanism elbow, welded elbow and so on.
Classification and use
Elbows can be classified according to angle, material, production process and other ways:
Classification by angle: common 45 ° elbow, 90 ° elbow and 180 ° elbow. 45 ° elbow is commonly used in building water supply and drainage systems, for small-angle steering; 90 ° elbow is widely used in a variety of piping systems, such as indoor water supply piping vertical steering or firefighting piping system of the right-angle turn; 180 ° elbow ( or U-shaped elbow). Or U-type elbow) is usually used for special piping layout, to promote the reverse flow of liquid to achieve a better cooling effect.
Classification by material: including carbon steel elbow, stainless steel elbow and alloy steel elbow. Categorized by production process: including welding elbow, stamping elbow, pushing elbow, casting elbow and butt welding elbow. These different types of elbows are suitable for different production needs and process conditions.
